The wheel light kits that are commonly available are designed for use on full sized cars and trucks. As a result, the diameters of the wheel hoops are typically 15.5 inches, 17 inches, or even larger. But even larger lifted golf carts with oversized rims rarely have or can support rims over 14 inches. And even the rare 15 inch rim on on a golf cart isn’t big enough. A 15.5 inch wheel ring would get hidden away behind the tires mounted to a 15 inch rim. Or worse yet, they might not fit at all. Bottom line: all those common garden variety wheel light kits are just too big. And those oversized car and truck are often of highly questionable quality.
